Hi, I’m Tom, AKA Mother of Mankind.
I'm a simple man. My mum always said that I need only three things to be happy - good food, good music and good company.
I started Mother of Mankind as a personal project to expand my knowledge and experience of the music of Africa. Since then I have explored nearly thirty countries on my radio show, built a compact audiophile soundsystem, played at festivals across the UK and started a regular night in the ‘Secret Basement’ in my hometown of Frome, Somerset.
