Zimbabwe Radio Show
This show was recorded on the Troll peninsula in the north of Iceland, where my wife and I are blessed to be living and working for three months. The closest town to where we are living is Siglufjörður (world famous for being the town where the excellent TV series Trapped was filmed!). It’s incredibly beautiful and remote, with our house being surrounded by sea, lakes and mountains.
My Zimbabwe show was recorded in the north of Iceland!
I decided to keep doing my shows from here - with this show being pre-recorded on the balcony of the house where we are staying. It is a magical spot, the days are long and the views are breathtaking, so it’s an inspiring place to be creating.
It’s ones of the most varied shows I’ve done so far in terms of genres, with traditional Chimurenga from the Bhundu Boys, Hip Hop from Zimbabwe Legit, Reggae from Jah Prayzah, house from producer Wheelup and I went big on the Zimdancehall tunes too!
