Electronic Iceland Radio

My wife and I have been in Iceland for the past two months, working remotely from the Troll Peninsula, not far from the Arctic Circle.  Its is a breathtaking country and we’ve been listening to lots of Icelandic music while we’ve been here which has really enhanced the experience - elevating both the qualities of the music and the appreciation of the scenery.

I’ve been given a lot of music tips from Icelanders I have met and I’ve fallen in love with the ethereal and edgy qualities of their music.  As a result I decided to stray from my usual focus on music from countries in Africa to do a show focussed on the electronic music of Iceland.

My wife Katy used to work for an adventure holiday company (which is how we ended up coming here for three months, staying in their staff house) and they were kind enough to invite me to live stream this show from their Deplar Farm house.  It is an incredibly beautiful place and it's been a special experience to be able to broadcast from here.

The shows features a guest mix from Bob Cluness of FALK Record and Lucky Records. It shows off the breadth of the house and techno scene in Reykjavik. He is Scottish but he’s gone deep on the Icelandic electronic scene!
