Bofou Safou - Mother of Mankind Acid Retouch

I love the original tune Bofou Safou by Amadou and Mariam, but there was one section which I really dislike with indie style guitars that seemed to clash with the rest of the song.  I starting thinking about how else I might change it - maybe a heavier klick drum, a bit more percussion, and some dubby bleepie sounds to make it sound a bit more cosmic.  I don’t have any skills when it comes to making music on a computer or remixing so decided to find someone who could do it for me.

I spoke to a friend Liam (Desert Sound Colony) for suggestion of who might be able to make my vision a reality and he put me in touch with Leo Picking, half of the duo Voyeur.  I briefed him on my ideas and he delivered pretty much exactly what I had imagined.  Its a tune that I now play out when I DJ a lot, and it always gets a great reaction.  You can download it for free on the soundcloud link, hope you like it!
